Recent events

On Saturday 27th January we held a quiz in the Bateman Hall and this was very well supported by the village. It was a fun evening.  The questions were not too taxing thanks to questionnaire Mike Welby and his wife therefore we all felt quite brainy. The scores from every table were high and close but well done the Jets with their win. A very enjoyable supper of hotpot and cakes was provided and served with coffee and tea by our members. A raffle was held with many donated prizes so lots of happy winners.

We raised approximately £500.00 which is to be donated to St Catherines Hospice to help with the sterling work they do for so many people locally. Thank - You to all who helped to organise this event and to support it, it is much appreciated.                                                

A winter warmer was also held in the Bateman Hall on Saturday morning the 18th February. Again very well supported by the village. Three different soups were on offer as well as cake. These are always very well supported and are a good way of meeting and making new friends in the area. Again many thanks to all the members who organised and gave up their time to do this.

Our membership continues to grow.  Why not come and join us at one of our monthly meetings.  You are welcome to come as a guest to three meetings before deciding whether to join. We are a friendly and active WI and you would be made very welcome.
